New Brown County Jail Complex

The bid from Straub Construction was accepted June 8, 2009 by the Brown County Commissioners.  The bid of $3,374,600 was the lowest of 9 bids submitted.

The project cost will be funded from a one-half cent countywide sales tax.  The new jail will house 41 inmates along with office, evidence storage and public storm shelter.
